There has been nothing that gives me more joy this week than Fox in Socks rapped over Dr. Dre‘s song, What’s the Difference. This is everything right in the world. I just want to put this on my playlist and listen to it in the car with the windows rolled down. I’ll throw my arm out the window to wave it in the wind while dancing in my seat to these beats. Maybe I’ll put it on repeat and sip some lemonade on the porch. It just gives you positive vibes in a time when there aren’t many of those around.
Wes Tank is the brilliant artist behind this video. I’m his new biggest fan. He raps a lot of different Dr. Seuss books! I can’t decide which is my favorite! Green Eggs and Ham is a contender! As is The Lorax, Cat in the Hat, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. They’re all amazing. I just love watching his facial expressions and hearing his interpretation of every song. But you can also follow along reading while he sings.
“Wes Tank raps Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book “Fox in Sox” over Dr. Dre’s legendary hip hop beats for “What’s the Difference” and “Let Me Ride” with much due respect to the flows and styles of Dr. Dre, Eminem, Xzibit and Snoop Dogg. All words and illustrations belong to Dr. Seuss. All instrumentals belong to Dr. Dre. This cultural mashup was created by TankThink for edutainment purposes.”
