He’s BACK! Our favorite Dr. Seuss rapper is at it again. This time he’s rapping Cat in the Hat, one of the most famous Dr. Seuss books! Everyone loves the antics and rhymes of this crazy cat. Combine that with Wes Tank’s awesome expressions and rap flows and you’ve got another masterpiece the whole family will love!
The Cat in the Hat was written and illustrated by Theodor Geisel under his pen name, Dr. Seuss, in 1957. It’s written in the classical Seuss style of rhyme and mayhem. The Cat shows up at Sally and her brother’s house to wreck havoc. He brings Thing One and Thing Two along for the ride. Hilarity ensues and all kids enjoy watching their interactions and The Cat’s crazy rhymes.
There’s something magical about putting Dr. Seuss’s words to music. They’re already brilliant and this just adds icing on the cake. Hats off to Wes Tank for being able to do the whole book! That’s quite a feat. My voice gets tired just watching him rap it!
Don’t miss his other Dr. Seuss/Dr. Dre raps! They’re just as great. Fox in Sox (sic) might be my favorite. Which is yours?
“Wes Tank raps Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book “The Cat in the Hat” over the legendary hip hop instrumentals for “Blue Flowers” by Dan the Automator of Dr. Octagon and “Nothing But a G Thang” by Dr. Dre, with much due respect to the flows and styles of Kool Keith, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. All words and illustrations belong to Dr. Seuss. All instrumentals belong to Dr. Dre and Dr. Octagon. Mixing by Matthew Griffo. This cultural mashup was created by TankThink for edutainment purposes.”
